Kathir Social Ventures is a social enterprise company working towards building a sustainable community and promoting women entrepreneurship by providing them with employable skills through trainings and developments by creating products that are organic and handmade with love to promote the unprivileged.
About Our Services at Kathir Social Ventures
Women: Skill Building and Entrepreneurship
Kathir being a social enterprise, our units are placed within the community to support the women from various backgrounds who are not able to move out for work from their homes/communities. We work with different government institutions like Tamil Nadu slum clearance board(TNSCB) developed to empower marginalized communities. We provide free skill development programs for women and youth and support them with employment and livelihood.
CSR Projects
Kathir has supported multiple corporates in creating, developing and implementing various social projects through their resources. We were able to build a better and safe place for children and women from rural communities. We were also able to establish a healthy surrounding for them to live and flourish through the support of governments and corporate institutes. Some of our projects include Model Green Village, Interactive Classroom in schools, Nature Park at Water Bodies, Skill Centre for Women and Transgenders.
Employee Volunteering Programs
As we work with multiple stakeholders volunteers from various corporates supported us in different initiatives and drives to make this society a better place. Some of the programs held by us include Educating children, empowering youth, skill programs for women, inclusive sessions for transgenders, drives in schools, Green initiative, spending day with the elderly. Beach/Lake cleanup, Soli and Liquid Waste Management for communities.
